Ultimately, she worked as a manager for a few IT consulting companies, where she was able to take advantage of training opportunities to hone her IT skills. After teaching her 79 year-old father to use his first computer, she was besieged by friends who begged her to do the same for their parents. It became apparent that there were many smart folks out there who needed computer help but couldn’t find the resources they need, and she quit her job and started Breathe Easy Computer Support and Training.
Breathe Easy employees come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are computer science majors and network engineers. Some have never worked officially in IT, but have been the “go-to” person in their offices for people who needed help figuring out how to do things with their computers. A few have formal training backgrounds. All of us have a commitment to helping our customers use computers to make their lives easier, and to having fun along the way!
